EastSide Arts Artful Ageing programme is back in 2018 with free workshops for seniors!

This year we are excited to be hosting workshops in Yarnbombing , Ceramics, Textile Art, Painting and Digital Fabrication so there will be something for everyone.

From the comfort of your 'armchair' in the Eastside Visitor Centre, join local historian and Blue Badge tour guide, Laura Spence, on this tour of some of the places in Belfast and beyond associated with C.S. Lewis - including his birth place, grandfathers' homes, boarding school and the magnificent new C.S. Lewis Square in east Belfast.

Tickets £6 available from EastSide Visitor Centre or online here

Join local historian and Blue Badge tour guide, Laura Spence (Hidden Ulster Tours), on a fascinating tour of east Belfast following in the footsteps of the Yardmen who built the ships that would wear out the oceans.

Laura will share photographs and describe the streets of two-up-two-down terraces, imagining the lives and times of the men who lived there in the days of the shipyards.

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Our offices at Avalon House will be closed from 3pm on Thursday 21st December until Tuesday 2nd January.

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN  POSTPONED. HOPING TO RESCHEDULE IN THE NEW YEAR

Thank you to everyone who came to C.S. Lewis Square for first EastSide Christmas Market on Thursday 14th December.

The event wrapped up a fantastic first year which has seen over 200,000 visits to the square to date.

Since opening a year ago, the C.S. Lewis Square has hosted a 10k run, a series of markets, the Commonwealth Baton as part of the Queen’s Baton Relay, aerial stunt performances with Belfast International Arts Festival and so much more. Even Victor the skateboarding dog is a fan!

The last market of the year on C.S. Lewis Square will be the EastSide Christmas Market on Thursday 14th December, 5-9pm.

Keep up to date with the latest developments on the C.S.Lewis Square and Connswater Community Greenway facebook pages.

We are seeking to recruit an entrepreneurial and energetic Manager totally focussed on taking the existing EastSide Visitor Centre to a new level. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the right person to join a great team.

You will be a dedicated leader with a focus on seeing EastSide Visitor Centre at the heart of an east Belfast making great strides to fulfil its potential. You’ll have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for tourism and the arts with an outgoing and welcoming personality which will help drive the ‘personality’ of EastSide Visitor Centre.

We are delighted to now  have a limited number of signed Úna O'Grady Paintings prints available to buy from EastSide Visitor Centre.

This vibrant ‘Oil Rig Visits Belfast’ print is on sale for £200 and would make for a very special Christmas gift this year.

The Connswater Community Greenway has been nominated for another two awards and we would love your votes!
