Join local historian and Blue Badge tour guide, Laura Spence (Hidden Ulster Tours), on a fascinating tour of east Belfast following in the footsteps of the Yardmen who built the ships that would wear out the oceans.
Laura will share photographs and describe the streets of two-up-two-down terraces, imagining the lives and times of the men who lived there in the days of the shipyards.
Thank you to everyone who came to C.S. Lewis Square for first EastSide Christmas Market on Thursday 14th December.
The event wrapped up a fantastic first year which has seen over 200,000 visits to the square to date.
Since opening a year ago, the C.S. Lewis Square has hosted a 10k run, a series of markets, the Commonwealth Baton as part of the Queen’s Baton Relay, aerial stunt performances with Belfast International Arts Festival and so much more. Even Victor the skateboarding dog is a fan!
We are seeking to recruit an entrepreneurial and energetic Manager totally focussed on taking the existing EastSide Visitor Centre to a new level. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the right person to join a great team.
You will be a dedicated leader with a focus on seeing EastSide Visitor Centre at the heart of an east Belfast making great strides to fulfil its potential. You’ll have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for tourism and the arts with an outgoing and welcoming personality which will help drive the ‘personality’ of EastSide Visitor Centre.
From 18th - 22nd November the fifth annual C.S. Lewis Festival will celebrate the impact and legacy of one of the world’s literary greats - C.S. Lewis. At this year’s festival everyone is invited to be ‘Surprised by Joy,’ a theme taken from C.S. Lewis’s works of the same name.
