It was a once-in-a-lifetime event – a warm, early August evening, Ken Haddock and his top-flight band, in the beautiful acoustic setting of Willowfield Church in Belfast, with The Arco String Quartet. It turned out to be one of the most memorable and moving gigs of the year – and is now one of the finest albums of the year.
C.S. Lewis Square is the venue for an extended weekend of events taking place to mark the 55th anniversary of C.S. Lewis's death and celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the official C.S. Lewis Square opening.
Following on from the success of Walk Wednesdays we will now be introducing bi-weekly evening walks on the Connswater Greenway in November and December.
Our experienced walk leaders Colin and Davy will greet you from the meeting point at EastSide Visitor Centre at 6.30pm. For one hour they will guide you along well lit Connswater Community Greenway paths and parks.
These walking groups provide a great opportunity to get out and explore the Greenway whilst meeting your neighbours.
Due to essential maintenance works at C.S. Lewis Square, this section of the Connswater Community Greenway will be closed from 8am on Thursday 25th October for up to 48 hours.
There will be no access to C.S. Lewis Square during this time and diversions will be in place.
If you plan to use the Comber Greenway at this section a diversion will be in place from the Holywood Arches along the Newtownards Road. You can re-join the Connswater Community and Comber Greenways at Connswater Street.
