Home Project is an arts project which has been running since 2016 and provides the opportunity for emerging artists to work interculturally with both EastSide Arts and Terra Nova Productions.

Opportunity for Artists:

You will: be matched with a community group in East Belfast and will be supported to create an art work inspired by your community engagement around this year’s theme: ‘Belonging’. You will need to demonstrate an interest in intercultural work and in using the arts to engage with the wider community.

Glider is celebrating its 1st anniversary today (September 3rd) following a highly successful year of service.

Over 2 million additional Glider passenger journeys were made in comparison to previous bus journeys taken along the route – an increase of over 30% - which means around 1.67 million fewer car journeys, reducing congestion and enhancing city air quality.

The Connswater Community Greenway Green Living Faye is back at C.S. Lewis Square for the third year on Sunday 15th September, 11am - 3pm.

There’ll be lots to see and enjoy including local traders, music, entertainment and food.

This event is being delivered in partnership with Eco Belfast and part funded by The Urban Villages Initiative to encourage environmental sustainability and promote healthy lifestyles.

George Best House will be opening its doors again for European Heritage Open Day (EHOD) on Saturday 14th September.

EHOD has over 300 FREE events and many of the properties - like the George Best House - are not normally open to the public, so this really is a chance to explore places that you haven't before.

The George Best House, 16 Burren Way, is the childhood home of footballing legend George Best. George lived in the house in the Cregagh Estate from age 2 until he left for Manchester United FC, aged 15.

EastSide Early Years Network has developed and produced picture books to help ease the transition for children and parents between pre-school and Nursery. The first four books feature four local Nursery Schools – Elmgrove, St. Matthews, Ravenscroft and McArthur.

Each picture book features photographs of the inside of the Nursery with a charming little mouse character explaining what the children will see and do when they get there.
