This year’s EastSide Arts Festival will take place from 6th - 16th August and the theme this year is ‘Moments of Joy’.

The EastSide Arts team are working hard to bring you a programme of fun, creative, interesting, and uplifting events and will announce the full programme in early July.

This is a year like no other and like all our friends and partners we will be putting your health and your safety above everything else in these difficult times.

Lisa Rea Currie, our Heritage Officer, has started a new blog series called Heritage from your Armchair over on our Visit EastSide website 

In this exciting new blog, you can explore the past from the comfort of your own home, with resources for absolute beginners and hopefully some surprises for the more seasoned heritage afficionado.  

Are you looking for some new ideas of activities you can do in your garden or even in your house? Maybe you have considered taking up Hula-Hooping or maybe you will after our special virtual Basics of Hula Hooping with Fi Flo on Monday 25th May.

We are currently reviewing our communications and would like you to have your say about how we currently communicate with you.

At this tough time, small and local businesses are finding it particularly difficult but did you know that many local traders are still selling online?

On Saturday 23rd May, from 10am – 5pm, Connswater Community Greenway invites you to the Bank Holiday Virtual Fayre where you can find out more about some local traders selling a variety of things, from tasty treats to clothing.

EastSide Partnership is inviting expressions of interest from experienced café operators interested in developing and growing JACK Coffee Bar in EastSide Visitor Centre, C.S. Lewis Square. Located in the heart of Holywood Arches, where the Connswater Community Greenway meets the Comber Greenway, C.S. Lewis Square has become the symbol of east Belfast’s recent regeneration attracting approximately 250,000 visits per year.

EastSide Partnership staff will, as a response to Covid-19 and in light of the latest UK Government advice, from Thursday 19th March begin working from home. As such our offices at Avalon House will be closed until further notice.

'Belonging' is an exciting exhibition experience that brings together four artists who have worked with, and been inspired by, communities in east Belfast to explore what it means to belong.

Mixing visual art, performance and installation; this unique show marks the finale showcase of the 4th annual EastSide Arts Home Project.

The show begins promptly at 7pm and lasts for one hour. There will be refreshments following the show and you will have a chance to meet the artists.

Work to deliver environmental and cycling infrastructure improvements on Ballymacarrett Walkway begins on Monday 17th February and will continue until Summer 2020.

To limit disruption to users throughout the construction period the intention is to close off the Walkway in phases.  During this time the Walkway will only be partially accessible, with diversions through Severn Street for cyclists and pedestrians (routes will made clear via signage displayed at the site throughout the build period).

Our annual #LoveYourGreenway campaign begins on Monday 10th February and finishes on Saturday 15th February.
