George Best House Open Day

16 Burren Way in the Cregagh Estate is the childhood home of footballing legend George Best. George lived here from the age of two until he left for Manchester, aged 15. The house is now self-catering accommodation allowing fans and visitors to experience life in the house for George before he left to join Manchester United in 1963. The house is decorated with interesting mementos, replicas, stories and photographs from George’s life, his family and his football career.

We are opening the doors of the George Best House at 11am on Tuesday 28th May for a special 'Open Day' event with local tour guide and George Best enthusiast, Peter Wood.

Entry is £5 per person and will allow you the opportunity to take a look around, read through interesting artefacts such as George's old school reports and also check out a new illurstated timeline of George's career. Peter will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about the man Pele once described as the World's Greatest Ever Player.

Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
