Heritage from your Armchair

Lisa Rea Currie, our Heritage Officer, has started a new blog series called Heritage from your Armchair over on our Visit EastSide website

In this exciting new blog, you can explore the past from the comfort of your own home, with resources for absolute beginners and hopefully some surprises for the more seasoned heritage afficionado.

Lisa, when starting this series of blogs, said: “When lockdown started I was aware that there might be a hole in people's lives in regards to heritage. Many people love to engage in heritage through museums, archives and galleries and this wouldn't be possible for the foreseeable future. However, lots of museums have begun to put their collections online and have been exploring different ways of engaging with their audiences.”

The blog series aims to cover a range of online museum collections, archives, podcasts, social media accounts and other heritage resources. So if you have a favourite that you would love to tell people about please get in touch by emailing Lisa (lisacurrie@eastsidepartnership.com) and it could feature in an upcoming blog.
