Niamh Callaghan
Niamh Callaghan joined EastSide Partnership as the Research, Impact, and Communications Officer in February 2026 for EastSide Greenways Climate Action project in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast. She is looking forward to exploring how meaningful research and storytelling can bring the project’s impact to life and help more people engage with local environmental action.
She has a BSc Honours Degree in Therapeutic Communication and Counselling Studies from Ulster University Belfast, and a MSc in Applied Developmental Psychology from Queens University Belfast. She is also nearing completion of a PhD in Psychoanalysis and Culture at Ulster University Belfast.
Niamh’s past research analysed cultural public landscapes and the impact they have on those in the community. In addition to her research, Niamh has previously worked in trauma support, supporting group workshops in trauma, stress responses, coping mechanisms, and experiential art.
