Celebrate Bastille Day with EastSide Partnership! On 14th July we are proud to host a number of exciting events to celebrate all things Français.

Bastille Day @ EastSide Visitor Centre & C.S. Lewis Square

Join EastSide Partnership for Bastille Day at EastSide Visitor Centre/ C.S. Lewis Square to celebrate all things French including free craft workshops for kids, caricature drawing, live gypsy jazz and swing dancing, French boules and of course crepes!
 
French dress encouraged.

Ireland & The French Revolution - Talk

On Bastille Day, Philip Orr will explain how the French Revolution made a huge impact on political life in 18th century Belfast. He will discuss the military support which the revolutionary government gave to the United Irishmen and ask - What would have happened if Ireland had fallen to the French and had eventually become a part of Napoleon’s empire?
